Health Checkup Camp

Multidisciplinary Health checkup camp is conducted in every three months. It includes health checkup from various expertise in the fields of General Medicine, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Pathology and Physiotherapy. It also includes free investigation services for the patients. Around 100-150 patients are screened and treated in the camp. Students learn details of assessment and treatment under the guidance of senior medical practitioners and faculty members. Also, students learn management and volunteering skills.

Geriatric Awareness Program

As a part of community services, Health and fitness awareness camp for geriatric population is conducted once in a month in various gardens in the PCMC area. We engage the geriatric population in an innovative exercise program targeting problems of old age like muscular weakness, imbalance, vertigo, dementia, in-coordination etc. Students get to learn the problems of old age as well as their management. Every Thursday morning, we run a free geriatric OPD where old age people gather and perform various physical activities and fun activities under the supervision of trained physiotherapists. These get togethers help them share their problems with us as well as with each others. We try our level best to help them cope up and improve their quality of life.

Description :-

LSFPEF'S College of Physiotherapy, Nigdi organized one day camp at "Society for the education of the Crippled", Talegaon on the occasion of Children's Day 14th November, 2017. All the staff and students had gathered at the college at 9am and then left for the school. After reaching the destination the staff members briefed the students about the assessment. Students under supervision of staff members assessed 30 children and many playful activities were conducted for whole day with the help of their staff - Mr. Jadhav and Mr. Tarde.

Objectives of the Camp:-

Interaction & assessment of the children.

Appropriate treatment of the child related to their specific condition.

Celebration of Children's Day.

Conclusion :-

The objectives of the camp were fulfilled and it was a huge success as a result of guidance of faculty members & active participation and support of students It was a great learning and practical exposure for all the students of the college.

Description :-

LSFPEF'S College of Physiotherapy, Nigdi organized physical fitness camp at "Le Sophia Education Society, Kirti Vidyalaya" Pradhikaran - Pune. Students under supervision of staff members assessed 70 school children.

Physical assessment of the children.

Conclusion :-

The objectives of the camp were fulfilled and it was a huge success as a result of guidance of faculty members & active participation and support of students. It was a great learning and practical exposure for all the students of the college. We found musculoskeletal and memory problems in these children practical exposure for all the students of the college. We found musculoskeletal and memory problems in these children.

TREE PLANTATION

Description :-

As per the instruction by MUHS Nashik, LSFPEF college conducted tree plantation program in college premises. Plantation of different species was done. Total 27 trees were planted in college campus. And are being taking care of everyday. The purpose was to create greenery around campus and create awareness about importance of trees. Students actively participate in this program, and enjoyed.

Description :-

As per the instruction by MUHS, Nashik, LSFPEF College Of Physiotherapy organized organ donation rally on 23rd Aug 2018. Under guidance of Honorable Director of LSFPEF Dr. Zoya Pansare and Principal Dr. Swati Bhise.

This Event was coordinated by all Physiotherapy staff under lead role of Dr. Pradeep Borkar. All students from 1st to final years, interns and faculty participated in the event.

As a part of same we have also organized Poster, Essay and Debate competition.

Miss. Siddhi Pokle from fourth BPth Won the 1st Prize in Essay Competition, Second Year students won the 1st prize for poster design and Miss. Krupa and Group own 1st prize for Debate Competition.

4TH INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY 2018

Description :-

On occasion of “International Yoga Day 2018” LSFPEF’s College of Physiotherapy organized YOGA session for all the students, faculty members and geriatric opd patients of the institute. Total 70 participants performed various Yogasanas. The program was appreciated by all.

Description :-

As a part of community services L.S.F.P.E.F college of physiotherapy has organized free health check up camp for all age group. This was first camp of this series. Camp was started from 9 o'clock to 3.30 pm. In this camp free check up of orthopedic, medicine gynecology and physiotherapy conditions was done. Proper assessment was taken prior to treatment and medicine and exercises was demonstrates according to conditions. Free check up of bone density and blood test was also done. People of surrounding area gave a very good and huge response. It was very good learning opportunity for all students and got chance to assessed different clinical conditions. Oral feedback was taken from almost all people who participated in this camp. Very satisfactory feedback was given by all of them.

FITNESS AFTER 50 - ACTIVITY II

Description :-

As a part of community services L.S.F.P.E.F college of physiotherapy has organized geriatric visit to Swarn - nagari old age home, near chinchwad pune. The college staff and students were visited old age home. Each individual was assess by staff and students, and according to their health status exercise program were demonstrate. A small lecture was given on health and hygiene. It was very encouraging and educational visits for students and enjoyable by participants.

As a part of cotnmunity services L.S.F.P.E.F college of physiotherapy has organized geriatric health awareness activity to Ganesh Mandir Udyan, Nigdi Pune. All participants were gathered in garden. College staff and students gave lecture on old age conditions and importance of exercises during this age. Recreational activities and exercises were demonstrated to them. Whole session was enjoyable by every participants and students.

Geriatric health checkup camp was organized in the institute on 26th March 2018. The aim of the camp was to assess ‘Quality of life’ of geriatric population and to plan a community based rehabilitation program for geriatric population. There were expertise from the field of Orthopaedics, Medicine, Diet and nutrition, ophthalmology and Physiotherapy. Around 40 geriatric subjects were assessed in the camp.
